What is Mr Wallet?
Mr Wallet is a personal budget and expense tracker published by Grey Workers Togo, based in Zanguera, Lomé, Togo. It brings accounts, transactions, budgets, debts, savings goals and recurring payments into one app, in several currencies including FCFA. It does not connect to your bank: you enter or import your own data.
Who is it for?
The app starts from the ground: cash, mobile money, variable income, family support, informal debts and very concrete savings goals.
- FCFA by default, with EUR and USD when your finances go abroad
- Built for irregular income, mobile money fees and transfers between accounts
- An internal ledger keeps balances consistent, even as history grows
- Two languages from day one, French and English
Principles
Exact amounts
Every amount is stored as an integer in minor units, never as a floating-point number, so balances never drift from rounding.
Private by design
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id, no authentication token is kept in the browser's local storage, and your data is scoped strictly to your account.
No bank connector, no ads
Data comes in by manual entry or CSV/Excel import, and the app shows no ads.
Yours to export or delete
Export your data as CSV/Excel at any time, and delete your account and all its data yourself, immediately, from the settings.
Open source
The source code is published on GitHub under the GNU AGPL-3.0 license.
